John Curtin: Are both TVs fed from the same aerial? Do you have an amplifier? Have you checked whether any neighbours are also having a problem with Freeview? Do not attempt to retune.

Hi, have a customer in Bawdsey who reports a 'no signal' condition, he has checked with a neighbour who is suffering the same problem. However there are no reported problems for any of the local transmitters. Has there been a recent failure that hasn't been updated on this site yet?. No reported problems on the bbc site either.
Regards, Trevor

P Wynn: This will be due to current high pressure weather, which is causing 'fading', in the old days you would have been seeing ghosting and/or co-channel interference (picture on picture etc), but unfortunately modern TVs dont do this and just show nothing under these conditions.

Whatever you do, dont be tempted to retune/rescan your TV! This would just lose the stored channels and you will then not see when they restore,

Unfortunately, all that can be done is to wait for the weather conditions to change. When they do, your reception will recover by itself.

Poor reception Aldringham today.
BBC Radio 4 is replaced by Channel 4 after a few minutes on freeview.
BBC Radio 3 is also being replaced by something else.

D Marshall:

You may have noticed the post before yours where there is Planned Engineering, the BBC had also reported a fault on the 3rd July. Do not retune whilst such work is taking place as it may just delete your correct tuning.
