How do I get a test card with Freeview
Go to channel 200 on Freeview, by entering [2] [0] [0] on the remote.
When this screen appears press [YELLOW], wait 2 seconds press [CH+], wait 5 seconds press [CH-]. When the above screen appars again, press [GREEN] and you will see:
Now press [GREEN] to see the test card (it may take several seconds to appear).

it worked for me,but you cant adjust settings whilst in red button mode,its a shame.unless someone knows better.

Brian,might there be in the future?shame they don't transmit the test card anymore,the amount of badly set up sets i've seen in the shops is unbelieveable,i.e not bright enough,too much contrast etc.

Des Collier: It could be, it would seem a useful facility. The BBC HD channel carries a test card in HD when the channel is not "on air".

Ron Lake: It works on any Freeview device that supports MHEG-5, and as a text service has nothing at all to do with the power level.
