My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

David magson: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitters are available at your location, where they are in relation to you and your predicted coverage etc (the coverage checkers only work on full postcodes, not partial postcodes or place names).

I have recently retuned my TV after the work at Whitehawk Hill transmitter and I have lost all tge HD channels which I had before the change. I have followed the reinstall advice but still have no HD.

Kevin Souter: Give the Freeview Advice Line a call (see link below). They can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted if required, free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable.

Congleton
I retuned my TV as recommended by an onscreen announcement.
All Bbc channels and all HD channels have now disappeared.
How do I fix this? My aerial points to the Bolton transmitter and is at CW12 3PT.

Richard Simmonds:
If you mean the Winter Hill transmitter which is located NW of Bolton, then the changes there today were only to the UHF channels for Local Multiplexes of which you might (if you have the correct aerial) get maybe one.
Those multiplexes will be located on UHF 21, 24 & 40. There's still GIM on UHF57.
All the main multiplexes are unchanged but further changes are due in Q1 & Q2 in 2020 when you will definitely need a Group T / Wideband aerial to receive all multiplexes satisfactorily. At present according to the DigitalUK checker About us | Freeview you should receive all the main multiplexes satisfactorily.
If you already have a Group T /Wideband aerial and can/(could) get the ArqB (UHF37) and COM8 HD (UHF31) multiplexes ok, then you should have no problem with further changes. See Channel listings | Freeview for a list of channels on those multiplexes.
If you didn't/don't get those two multiplexes then you may have an old C/D group aerial which will need replacing and you should be able to get free help from Freeview next year when the main changes take place providing you don't have satellite or cable.
As for the current problem, the best approach would be to unplug the aerial and then do a full automatic tune which should clear all existing tuning. Then plug the aerial back in and do an automatic tune again and hopefully all the channels will be restored.
You'll be best making future posts on the Winter Hill transmitter page.

I assume you mean you've followed the retune instructions etc as I cannot find a previous post from you.
When did you lose reception of channel 48 - The Sony Channel (was called True Entertainment)?
Sony have made several changes to their channels see Help | Freeview and Help | Freeview
The Sony Channel is only available in areas where the transmitter has a Local multiplex and there's a local channel at LCN 7 (or 8). If you get your signals from the Nottingham transmitter, there is a local multiplex on UHF ch.50 but we need a full postcode to see what the predicted reception given by About us | Freeview at your location. You may not be able to get it.

Poole
Hi, All the Freeview that I could pick up in Poole, Dorset, have disappeared in the past 3 weeks. All ARQA and ARQB are gone. I have re-tuned the TV and only now have 21 channels including BBC, ITV C4 etc. Everything else, Quest, Yesterday etc are totally gone, not even any more listed on the channels on the TV. My postcode is BH17 7JG. Prior to this I could pick up Quest, Yesterday etc without any problem. What on earth is going on?

Malcolm Lowe:
Are you picking your signals up from Rowridge? Aerial pointing 100 degrees (10deg.S of E). Predicted reception at your location for COMs4-6 is very variable. Do you have an HD set/tuner and receiving BBC HD channels as well as those on COMs 7&8?
The UHF channels from Rowridge are 24, 27, 25, 22, 28 for the SD channels - PSB1&2, SDN, ArqA, ArqB.
UHF HD channels are 21, 55, 56 for BBCB, COM7, COM8.
Try a manual tune on the UHF channels for those missing SD ones.
The local Poole Relay transmitter only transmits the 3 PSB muxes.
