My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Hi
I have two Curtis freeview boxes. I receive my signal from Tacolneston [Nov 9th switch]. After a First Time reset scan or any of the other scan options, all channels work correctly. After about 30 seconds I get a "Service List Change" and all BBC channels switch from C55 to C63 and I get a "No Signal" message.
My two Sagem Freeview+ recorders on other televisions work ok.
Any idea's

Roger Andrews: C63 was used by Tacolneston for BBC prior to switchover. This suggests that your boxes have "remembered" this.
Have you carried out the procedure outlined at the top of this page? (Running a scan without the aerial connected)

I have a goodmans GB11FVRSD32. I have completed first time installation several times and recieve all channels. However on the bbc channels/multiplex I am not recieving EPG information. The box also picks up a second set of bbc channels on channel 800+ which has epg information but a poorer quality signal.Any suggestions?

Paul: I have assumed the model number to start "GD" instead of "GB" and I've found the instructions for it here:
http://www.thesupportsite….pdf
The issue would appear to be caused by the receiver picking up more than one transmitter's signal.
I note that page 23 of the manual says that it will ask you for your "preferred region". Perhaps the problem would be fixed by selecting an alternative region (are there multiple regions on the list?) as each entry on that list probably pertains to a different transmitter.
I suspect that you're aerial is on Sutton Coldfield. Based on the Digital UK predictor, Lark Stone also probably comes in quite strong in your area. The PSB muxes (BBC/ITV/C4/C5/HD) from Lark Stone are on lower frequencies than that of all those from Sutton Coldfield.
It might be worth carrying out the procedure at the top of this page and then starting another scan, again with the aerial unplugged, but plugging it in when progress gets to 25%. (DN31NJ)

Most Saturday nights (including tonight) I lose ITV1,2,3, C4, More 4, Film 4. At other times the signal is fine. I live in Lamberhurst which apparently has its own transmitter! How/why does this keep happening. I am a freeview customer

Most of the the time we get signals for all the channels on freeview, then suddenly all the itv and connected channels block and then disappear, for all evening and maybe into another day and then as suddenly they are all back. it is driving us mad . At the moment we can flick it back to terrestrial and at least get ITV and channel 4. What happens when we go completely digital next year .

Anne Beale: The digital coverage after switchover is planned to match that of the analogue transmitters that are being taken out of service. You don't mention which transmitter you are using or give a postcode in order to check reception predictions, but at most sites Mux D3+4 which carries ITV1&2, C4 and C5 will use the same frequency that gave you good reception on one of the analogue channels.

On Saturday 19th November there was no signal on analogue or digital until 12.20pm. Then everything returned for about 3 hours and since then there has again been no signal on analogue or digital. I have followed all the instructions for retuning.

Andy G: Do you live in flats with a communial aerial? Do you know if there have been anyone working? Have there been power issues such as lights being out in the stairways?
