Where can you see where Freeview local stations will be picked up? UK Free TV
I am very happy to say that UK Free TV now has the ability to show the new local television multiplex.
The services will be provide by Comux and will provide a "Channel 8" service (45 in Wales and Scotland) in selected areas soon.
You will also get another couple of extra TV channels too.
The coverage maps look like this:
The maps can be seen from the relevant transmitter pages, such as Divis, Brierley Hill , Sutton Coldfield, Whitehawk Hill, Bristol Ilchester Crescent, Bristol Kings Weston, Mendip, Wenvoe, Craigkelly, Black Hill, Belmont, Beecroft Hill, Emley Moor, Storeton , Crystal Palace, Winter Hill, Pontop Pike, Tacolneston, Nottingham, Waltham, Oxford, Sheffield and Rowridge.

Briantist: Arqiva's Reference Offer for Local TV says that the chosen antenna design for Waltham is 'Crossed Logs @ 100 degrees - 4 Tiers', at 157m above ground level, on a bearing of 40°. It does seem that this is intentional.

We shouldn't forget that the multiplex will also carry two more channels - perhaps there was a desire here to try to cover the East of England at least a bit, since Tacolneston will mainly transmit to its north-east, and Madingley to its east (you haven't updated the Madingley page with these details). Sandy Heath is in the Reference Offer - aerials pointing to the west - but the Bedford licence hasn't been advertised, as far as I know.
An aggregate map showing where there are holes in the overall coverage would be interesting, for the two services that Comux are allowed to run.

Will the new local TV stations be permitted to put out promotional videos in advance of their on air starting dates and if so how far in advance?

Greenock
Help! my Post Code is pa16 7py, Greenock opposite Rosneath Transmitter. My wife has this notion to watch STV Glasgow but unfortunately it is not available to us. I believe people on the Blackhill Transmitter can. Is it possible to manually retune channel 25, is so what is the frequency? I have looked but no can find.
Cheers, Brian Rawlinson

Brian Rawlinson: STV Glasgow is broadcast from Black Hill on UHF channel 51 (714MHz).
However, as you reside in a block of flats then the system may well be filtered so as to only let through channels used by the designated transmitter.
Also, Rosneath is vertically polarised whereas Black Hill is horizontally so, and to boot at about 90 degrees away.
What I would say is that if you can, Black Hill may give you all the main Freeview channels, plus COM7 and COM8 which are the quasi-national HD multiplexes which aren't carried by Rosneath.
