Multiplex names, frequencies and power level highlighting
I have modified some pages on UK Free TV to make it easier to pick out certain types of information:
Multiplex names are now shown with a bright orange highlighter background.
Transmission frequencies and channel numbers have a bright green highlighter background.
Power levels (values in Watts) are now shown with a bright pink highlighter background.
An example of this is:
I shall be shortly extending this convention to all pages.

Having had frequent picture freezing dropout,I have finally cured problem.
I have installed a SLX 48 element loft ariel with complete new tv lead WF100 quality.
signal strength 48%-50% quality 90%- 98%
This shows that good quality lead more than compensated for signal strength reduction.
The less degradition of signal by using good lead works to reduce inferfreance.

Tom: Yes, if you must put an aerial in the loft, using satellite-grade coaxial cable is recommended.

Dear Brian
My friend lives in Worcester at WR1 1NY, and since the before the switch over and since the 21st can only receive BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, C4, C5, UTV2, BBC3,BBC4, C4+1,More4, E4, ITV1+1, CBBC,CBeebies BBC News BBc Parliament, Rabbit, Gay Rabbit, BBc Red Button plus 7 Radio Stations. Her analogue BBC2 went off air earlier than Sutton Coldfield. Is there anything we can do to get all channels? or would it be the aerial. I thought she was receiving S.C, but evidently not. Analogue reception was OK.

David: Ask your friend to hand on another week for the retune event at The Wrekin, which is listed as 28 Sep 11. Retune from mid-morning and your friend will have the full Freeview line-up.

I live approx 6 miles North of Hemel Hempsted. I believe my aerial points to Crystal Palace, (but maybe Hemel). I lost all freeview HD channels a few weeks ago, but prior to that they were perfect. I understand from other forums that this might be related to changes at the Sandy Heath transmitter which has tweaked its settings which might be reversed in November. Is there any truth to this or should I get into the loft and see if I have any luck pointing directly to the Sandy Heath transmitter. I'm prepared to wait, but I do miss HD

peter hinde: Yes, if you want to get Freeview HD now you will need to use Sandy Heath. That's assuming you can, but I can't say as you did not provide a full postcode.
