You forgot that on the 23 November 2011,
Sandy Heath carries out one of many Re-Tune Events on this date
A Re-Tune is required to carry on watching TV

Josh Welby: Sorry, I didn't copy and paste that last line in. Only ArqA changes on that date.

Mendip and some of its relays have a retune on 28 September as well.
Note that Mendip ArqA will now move to C67, not its final channel, and that final channel is now 'TBC'. Source: http://www.digitaluk.co.u….pdf

Mike Dimmick: Thanks for that.
I have also included the note about Huntshaw Cross being able to operate COM at full power from that date too.

In the headline calendar for 12th october there is no mention of ridge hill west [itv 1west on tx channel 29 ] increasing from 5kw which it has been on since april this year, to 20kw .
This will give the same coverage footprint as central. Although the news coverage is primarily aimed at Gloucestershire , it will be welcomed in herefordshire, south shropshire and west worcs .digital uk postcode predictor is even showing 99% reception in many parts of kidderminster ! [see dy10 2nl example]

bernard hunt: There has never been any intention to have the same coverage area as for the "Central" service, as the power increase will not change the radiation pattern. However, as this is a state secret...
The Digtial UK service is showing a "reception change" for the service at your postcode, but that is in 2012, not 2011.

Hello Brian,
For Sandy Heath on 23rd November, you say that Arq A will move from 67 to 52. As far as I can see, Arq A is currently on 40, not 67 (67 is currently occupied by Arq B until tomorrow, when it moves to 48).
Regards,
Nicholas

bernard hunt: It's just a power increase, not a change of mode or frequency, so it doesn't require a retune - though viewers that can't get it now are likely to have to retune to get it after the power increase.
Ofcom's Table of Digital Terrestrial Stations does show the restriction to 5 kW as ending on 12 October. It can actually happen any time after Oxford finishes using C29 on 28 September, but co-ordinating with Waltham SDN power-up (also on C29) is probably a good idea.
