Ariel - Trust clears BBC of iPlayer preference for Apple platform
This, the complainant believed, meant that the BBC had failed in its obligation to provide content to all licence fee payers, regardless of the operating platform or device. It concluded that 'there were clear reasons why, at that time, iOS was prioritised' and these were consistent with the BBC's obligations under the Charter. Simultaneous launch iPlayer launched simultaneously for Android and Apple products in February 2011, with the intention that the platforms would be treated equally. - bbc.co.ukwww.bbc.co.ukMedia: How the media covered the Woolwich attack
