Northampton, officially outside the waltham area, but for 5 years have had almost flawless analogue and digital reception, today both have all but disappeared, must be a fault up there

Just had brand new wideband aerial, brand new Samsund LE40C650 TV & hooked up Digital Stream 8205 HD recorder box. Keep losing all channels on Multiplex 5000/ 666000khz (eg Dave, Sky News). All other channels/ Multiplexes good. Any one else had similar issues? Has my new aerial not been positioned right?

Hi. My aerial is on roof pointing at the waltham transmitter, signal strength good.I have been using the rf2 on the sky box to other tv on channel 39 with reasonable picture. now it is unwatchable, bleed through with bbc2 i think, can you reccomend a suitable channel for the rf2.would i be better pointing aerial at a differant transmitter, emly moor? will it be better when the analogue signal from transmitter turned off?

I think the inversion effect from Chesterfield analogue ITV (Channel 23) is causing Mux 2 to fail.

AM on 2nd lost Ceebies etc.(mux B) due to heavy pixallation and broken up sound - interestingly set top box still reported good signal, retuned and regained channels. However by early evening had same problem on Channel 4 et al. (Mux 2). Retuned and lost BBC (Mux 1). Just reset and retuned (~8pm) and currently have regained normal service on all mux's/channels normally available in my area (Kettering northants). Hopefully atmospherics et al are back to normal now.

I live in the LE8 6LG area and receive signals from the Waltham transmitter. The signal is boosted in the loft by an ancient Cambridge signal booster with about 6 outputs at varying strengths. I have checked the analogue signals on teletext and it would appear that all but BBC 2 (Channel 64) are OK. BBC 2 however is unwatchable on analogue although my next door neighbour mainatains his BBC 2 picture on analogue is identical to the other 4 channels. We have lived here for 10 years and do not know the age of the aerial installation. We have always watched the 5 main channels on digital with occasional dropouts, probably each evening. Also if a motor bike passes the house, the digital signal is lost for several seconds. Please can you offer any advice regarding the position at switchover?
Thank you.
