I usually watch TV through our Sky box but this weekend decided to update the channels on the DTV.
No matter what I do I cannot get more than 17 channels yet I used to have times more.
I have tried to update the DTV on both out TV's with the same result and I have also tried this on our neighbours TV again with the same result.
I have had a new aerial fitted prior to trying the retune.
I have reset my TV with a factory reset and have also followed the instructions on the Waltham site retuning without an aerial etc still with the same result.
Can you please advise, although we are OK using the Sky box should we not have the Sky box we would have no TV.
Many thanks.

Brian our postcode is LE7 7LS. We used to have all the channels but because we never really watch Digital TV so only noticed this week. I do have a signal booster on our system but have tried it without. The neighbour also has the same problem.
My TV is a Samsung LE32R8.
Many thanks

Does the analogue signal switch off during the early hours of 17th or the early hours of the 18th? So we retune on the 17th?
I have to ask as people keep asking me and it got me wondering..

obsidian eclipse: Off at shortly after midnight tonight, i.e. the early hours of the 17th, and potentially off and on periodically until 6am. Relays may take longer, see Digital UK - Relay transmitter switching times for details.
Most likely is that, because ITV1 analogue is replacing BBC Two analogue at all relays (BBC Two switches off), it will happen at an ITV1 programme junction. At sites where no analogue channel swap was required (e.g. Sandy Heath), BBC Two was turned off at the end of the final programme scheduled.
BBC Two has Chilean Miners until 00:20, then TOWN until 01:20. ITV1 has The Grudge until 00:20 then 'The Zone' (QVC) through to 02:25, so the logical cut-over point would be 00:20, though don't rule out 01:20.
After that, Mux 1 could go at any point.
Belmont DSO 2 is also tonight, and there is also a retune at Tacolneston to release C61 (which Waltham BBC A will use), so there may need to be some co-ordination between the sites, as Tacolneston is taking frequencies that Belmont currently uses.

Ziggy: Yes, trees can be a problem: you may have to mount the aerial on a long pole to overcome them.
