shaun: As you have tried the aerial straight into one of your TV's and still no signal, then this is strongly suggestive of a break in the aerial lead connection.
If you can access the actual aerial you should double check the lead where it joins into it, but before doing that you should check to see if any signal is there at all, this done by carrying out a manual tune on Ch49 (BBC1) on your set, normally you could by-pass this tuning test, but you will not now have any channels stored on the TV as they will have been deleted when you carried out the previous scan.
PS: That is unless you use one of the other sets that you haven't tried a re-scan on!

Hi.
Does any body know if something is to happen to Challenge (BSkyB) on Freeview in the near future? My EPG for this one channel does not update after Monday 6:00am (next Monday, that is), and if this has happened in the past, it usually means a stop in transmission.
Do you have any up to date info. on Freeview?
Thnak you in advance. Regards,
Tim.

Thank you Brian - maybe they were just slow in updating/finalising their Schedules.
After losing Takeshis Castle twice through changes to Virgin 1, I at last thought I had got the program back again - I just hope it stays that way for a little longer!
Thanks again.

timonthenet: It could have just been a system glitch somewhere. I hope you don't have any problems.

Hi I am an aerial installer in the Grantham area, i recently put an antiference 10 elemant aerial on 2 install in a village just outside Grantham. when i did a rescan they have ended up with 220 yes 220, digital channels, with aerial pointing at Waltham. they are picking up Waltham- Belmont - Anglia. This sort of problem is only going to get worse when they increase the power. I think we will have to put on group boxes on the aerials to block rogue frequencies. Watch this space

With reference to the last post from Peter Baker, why not lower the aerial slightly,or just do a manual tune by frequency and then if all else fails, fit an attenuator (they're cheap enough)?
I live in Grantham, and although not current, I gained my CAI qualification nearly 20 years ago.
A little 'tweaking'can certainly save the customer unnecessary expense.

shaun: The transmitter you receive from depends on the direction your aerial points.
