Mike Dimmick: I've just done a check on the Waltham signal levels and C31 gave 55% strength and 100% quality, the same as C29 and C33. C42 and C45 gave 53% and C49 gave 54% signal all 100% quality. My reception does fall off with ascending frequency as I live in a valley.

Steve, I have put a booster on that I had, I am getting some signal but very weak, less than 14%, have been running digital successfully since ondigital, obviously not on the same box now but can understand why we have lost the service, tag for me says Lincoln but actually nearer Sleaford. Guess the answer is to stop watching television ;-)

i've also had probs since yesterday. spoke to digital uk and they tell me that the frequency has been changed on the waltham transmitter to a stronger one..unfortunately my freeview box (ferguson) is 'splitnit' and therefore unable to cope with the new stronger frequency. This is very frustrating as the 'switchover' should have happened until August in my area. now i have to buy a new freeview box (when I can afford to) so i can wtch my tv again!!!!!!!

KMJ,Derby: Thanks. My only other theory apart from the usual too much/too little signal was that Sandy Heath SDN has been put on C31 prematurely. It's meant to still be on C43+ until August.

floramarg: The 'Split NIT' issue first surfaced in the major retune in 2009. It's possible you didn't experience a problem if you haven't retuned the box since before then.
If you didn't, you would have lost C5 when it moved from Mux A to Mux 2, with ITV3 moving in the other direction.

hmmm. Still cant get mux 2 on C31. When I run the tv tuner on the pc it states a good signal strength, 100% quality and that it has 'locked' onto C31 but there are no program IDs or transport streams, all the others working as normal.
Have they done anything weird or wonderful on mux 2 since the move to C31? (Changed the modulation?) Its completely flummoxed me.

I am not a technical guy but am having the same problem...no ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4 etc. My Bush BTU160DTR has the digital tick so I assume should work. I have retuned a number of times but still nothing. I did note that the software I have is not what TUTV say should be the current version...so I do not know if that might affetct.
What is the advice...I would like to avoid a total wipe and reset as that will lose my recordings. HELP!
