We have suddenly lost Film4 (on Channel 15). We are not using a box but a modern aerial in the loft which has been perfectly OK ever since installation. What is particularly puzzling is that the bars on the initial screen indicate reasonable signal strength and good quality. But the only message is "This service is not running". Other channels seem satisfactory. What should we do? Our post code is LE24FF.

John Rice: If it's a reception issue then you will also have lost BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV HD, Channel 4 HD and CBBC HD/BBC Three HD as they are all carried on the same multiplex.

John Rice: Sorry, scrap that, I was thinking of Film4+1. Film4 is carried on PSB2 (D3&4) along with ITV, Channel 4 etc.

During the day and up to 10.00pm at night I have perfect reception with channel quality between 70% and 80%.
After this time the reception slowly deteriorates until the channels are un-watchable. Nothing has changed with my hardware or aerial so why the deterioration?. I will add that Notts tv is always very good reception even though the other freeview channels are chronically bad. I live in Grantham, and have manually tuned my set top box ( humax ). My aerial has a mast amplifier feeding 3 tv points of which one is used. I have an amplifier on this point without which the reception is worse.

Hi, I have lost my HD channels from the Waltham PSB3 BBC B HD mux, these are Ch 45, 101-105, 123, 602 & 603. I did a retune with no aerial to purge the TV, then retuned with the aerial connected. I retuned last evening, and then again around 12:00am today. The channels disappeared last evening, with a no signal message appearing on screen. Is there a fault on the Waltham Mux? if so it is not showing up on the Internet reports. Many thanks.

David Petersen: Waltham's PSB3 Mux is being received OK down here in the Stamford area. If you are still unable to receive it? carry out a "manual" tune on C58.

I live in the DE1 area. Since Last night I have been having terrible reception! Sky News reception is terrible and even BBC1 has some trouble, but BBC1 HD is fine. My tv is self-tune. Some channels are ok, but 'live news' channels seem to be having trouble with reception. I have tried re-setting aeriel connex to community aeriel. Any advice? Thank you

John Atherton:
First thing to do is check with your immediate neighbours who are also usoing the same communal aerial system to see if they are also having the same kind of problems, but make sure they are not using Sky or Freesat.
Further advice depends on your feedback.

Can you tell me please what the problem has been with the programmes from Waltham recently ?
For some time signals have been significantly weak, but over the past weekend BBC 1&2 have, for
long periods been unwatchable. During these spells programmes from ITV etc, via Waltham have
appeared as normal.
My aerial, feeder & TV check out as OK
