Roger Williama: Because water is getting into your cables/connectors. I would suggest you have the aerial and cables checked and replaced.

i live in stroud and have been receiving all the available freeview channels through my tv with built in freeview. I recently bought a freeview plus recorder and plugged it into the same aerial the tv was in and now all the channel 4 channels freeze and the sound is interupted. Any suggestions appreciated.

I have lost BBC HD and BBC1 HD recently. All other channels are OK with adequate signal strength. There is no signal indicated on the two BBC HD channels.
Is there a transmitter fault?

I've just noticed that my tv stations guide on the freeview box has loads of new stations added - eg ITV3 ITV4 although there is no signal and cannot view them. Does anyone know if this is preparation for the Randwick transmitter going fully digital with the full range of freeview channels? Ta

Bring up the signal strength screen whilst on ITV3, Pick TV and Yesterday and see which UHF channels they are tuned to.
Refer here to see the three COM multiplexes:
DMOL Post-DSO Multiplex Channel Allocations
ITV3, Pick TV and Yesterday are on COM4, COM5 and COM6 respectively.
Maybe you are picking these up from Wenvoe. If you are, then you find that they are on C42, C45 and C49 respectively.
Or from Mendip they are on 48, 52 and 56.
