Adrian Smith:

Just FYI, of the other 4, Crystal Palace is London region obviously, the others are Meridian, with Dover seemingly predicted to give the most reliable signals overall, then Bluebell Hill/Gillingham Test Centre, lastly Crystal Palace.
The main issue with Crystal Palace is no predicted reception of the BBCB/HD mux and the COM6/ArqB mux but it does seem to depend on where in the locale you are as it might be all the COM muxes apart from COM4 and even then they are not good.

Aerial directions for these are as follows -
Dover - bearing 142 degrees, that's fractionally S of SE,
Bluebell Hill - bearing 198 degrees, almost SSW and nearby Gillingham Test Centre (Light Tx) 194 degrees,
Crystal Palace - bearing 247 degrees, that's pretty much WSW.

Chris.SE: Crystal Palace transmitter - your uhf channel list differs from what the BBC website says
for BBC HD. You list ch48, BBC say it's 30 (which seems more plausible grouping wise)
Who is correct please or have I misunderstood?
Thanks
(P.S.
I used Check transmitter faults | Help receiving TV and radio and entered a postcode in the crystal palace coverage area)

Woz:

The BBC site is correct. As mentioned in the last post (of mine) in response to Tony Life on the Crystal Palace transmitter page, unfortunately the site owner (Briantist:) has not had the time to do all the updates from the 700MHz Clearance program or correct some errors that appear around the site. It's been mentioned several times on the Crystal Palace pages and as mentioned in that above referred post, I've linked to my post on the previous page with the correct UHF listing. I have done similar on many (but not all) other transmitter pages with their UHF channels when the page list was not correct.

@Chris Thanks for the reply

I wanted to change my email address but your site options throw up a consistent error. I've been unable to contact you any other way so if you are able to check and replace my previous ymail address with the one used to send this, that would be great. Thanks (this message need not be published)

Woz: Chis isn't the owner of the website, neither he nor any other contributor can change your email address. The only person who can do that is Briantist, who is the owner of UK Free TV. Also, every message submitted in the comments box at the bottom of each page gets published in the comments section the same page automatically (unless detected as spam) - nobody is choosing which ones to publish.

Today 21 June 2022, I lost all channels other than bbc, itv, c4 c5 on the Rouncefield transmitter, Ashingdon , Essex, signals stopped at 10.30am and now at noon they have not returned to normal. I am only 200 metres, unobstructed from this transmitter, can somebody tell me who I need to contact to report this, there is no obvious fault reporting link.

Ken Moore:

The transmitter isn't currently listed for Planned Engineering and I can't find any faults listed at present.
However current weather conditions mean that there's some Tropospheric Ducting accompanying the high pressure which can disrupt reception for usually brief periods with interfering signals. This may be affecting the SE and parts of the E at present. The BBC have issued a warning about possible short-term interference.
Do not retune as this most likely will just clear your correct tuning. If you have already done so, you'll have to retune again, possibly several times as you won't know when signals have returned to normal.
