Mark: What are the signal strength and quality readings for COM5 and the other multiplexes? Most TVs will allow you to access this information from the menu.

I have just moved to Scotland and have had an aerial set up to receive Freeview TV, but notice that I have no HD channels. I live at Findhorn, Forres and presumably my aerial is pointing to the Roemarkie transmitter. When can I expect to receive HD channels. My relatives who live nearby have HD so must receive their TV from a different transmitter, which one would this be?

Leonard Router: Every transmitter broadcasts HD versions of BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV Channel 4, Channel 5 & CBBC. Is your TV a Freeview HD model? Many TV (particularly older ones) were sold as HD Ready or Full HD but do not have a DVB-T2 tuner which is required to view HD channels (if this is the case you can buy a Freeview HD box for under 50). If you provide a postcode we can see what signal strength should be at your location and offer further advice.

Doreen Urquhart :
We need to know your full post code so that we can look up the transmitter coverage in your area. Without that we have no idea where you are nor what transmitter you are using nor of the coverage nor whether there are any engineering works. Please supply the full post code.
You say you have adjusted your aerial (not arial, that's a type face) in the loft but whay have you used to check it is aimed at the correct transmitter? Have you checked all the aerial cables and connections?

BT showcase (channel 59) says retune to get it on channel 115. I've retuned, but still no BT showcase. Is it on Rosemarkie yet?
Cheers.

Donald Maclennan: BT Showcase HD is broadcast on the COM8 multiplex which isn't available from Rosemarkie (and won't be added in future either).

No BBC channels found by my TV freeview receiver (clean 'first time' install) yesterday or this morning.
Strong ITV signal from same mast but zero on BBC channels.
Where does your 'no issues' info come from?
