My Humax seems to be playing up or have you changed the numbers for retuning, please? I do retune my Humax at regular intervals, having been told to do so, but since doing it 2 weeks ago I can't get ITV4 either on my television or via Humax and am missing the Tour de France. Also, although I put in 130 for BBC News, 130 comes up for perhaps 2 seconds and then it changes to 131 the Parliament channel. What is going on, please? I've been getting a lot of no signal or channel scrambled messages over the last two weeks as well.

Mrs Rosemary Bashford: All the retuning you've been doing may have caused the tuning data to have become corrupted. Try unplugging the aerial and retuning to clear all the channels, then plug the aerial back in and retune again to fill the channel list. There shouldn't be any need to keep retuning unless there have been technical changes to any of the channels you watch, or you wish to add new channels which have launched.

Good afternoon,
Living in Quedgeley, Gloucester, I receive Freeview direct from the Ridge Hill transmitter.
Over the past (24) hours, reception, both visual and audio, has been breaking up several
times a minute. Signal bar on the TV indicates full strength, but quality bar has dropped
to only just over 60%.
There would appear to be no reported transmission problems with the Ridge Hill transmitter.

Mike Sugar: The latest (1/8/2016) "Planned Engineering Works" notice board has Ridge Hill listed with the status of "Possible weak signal", this situation being of a somewhat regular occurrence.

Live in the GL15 area, have modern high gain aerial pointing at Ridge Hill West. Get excellent reception for all the HD channels and others. However, we are unable to receive non HD BBC (to watch regional Points West news) - we used to..... has something changed ?
Checking the manual tuning, I find we are receiving on CH 21,22,24,25,32 and 34 but according to the digital UK site BBCA is on CH28 which I cannot get anything.
Anything I can do or has something gone AWOL on Ridge Hill transmissions ?

s m seaman & Steve O: Ridge Hill is a main transmitter serving over 250,000 homes. There are no faults listed and if the transmitter was off air there would be hundreds of complaints on this website and elsewhere. I suggest you both check your aerial systems, start at the back of the TV and check all cables and connectors and in tight then work your way back towards the aerial as far as you are able to safely access.

No reception on any channel 27/09/2016 approximately 21:25 then patchy reception. Switched off at 21:45 as fed up with failure.
