Extremely poor signal since yesterday afternoon, varying from no signal across the board to receiving a few channels.
Retuned last night and was quite surprised to be receiving ITV West Country and a good selection of FRENCH TV channels!
A second retune this morning has found a few channels but nowhere near the full complement.

My mom is on Ridge Hill (as are some of her neighbours) even as far east as DY9 9XA as local conditions prevent decent reception off other transmitters. Lost channels Monday night and pretty much nothing since, despite clearing TV's memory, retuning etc etc. Surely must be a transmitter fault for problems to be so severe and so widespread?

P S Billingham: The problem is out of area signals travelling further than normal blocking reception of the normal service from Ridge Hill. Since Sunday (22nd September 2013) high pressure has resulted in tropospheric ducting affecting an area including West Midlands, South Wales, West country through Devon and Dorset extending across the English Channel. It is unusual for the effects to be so strong in the current locations, but normality should return by the end of the week!

Situation has improved somewhat this morning, but as you say symptoms now seem to be picking up signals from other areas.
