I receive my TV signal from Moel Y Parc and last night I noticed that there was no signal for ITV 1, S4C, Ch 5, ITV 2,Ch 4, ITV+1 etc. BBC channels etc were OK. It was the same this morning and it applied to my 2 recorders and 2 TV sets. I have retuned a TV set and all is now OK. Has there been a signal change?

Despite 2 attempts at retuning after 14th November I cannot now receive ITV/S4C/channel4/Channel5 signals. My TV screen displays "no signal" for these channels. All BBC and many other channels give perfect reception. What do I do now??

Ivor Hughes: If you are using a communal/shared aerial system then it could be the aerial system that needs adjustment.

Ivor Hughes. When I retuned I found that a search for new channels did not work. I had to do a complete retune of all channels before I could receive ITV,CH4 & 5 etc.
Hope this helps.

hi im in Rhyl LL18 and my freeview signal is very week and its pointing towards winter hill but a quick internet search shows i'm closer to moel-y-parc - would that be a better option?
Would English channels still be received as dad like them.

adrian: I've taken a couple of postcodes in Rhyl (the police station and the Pavilion) and Digital UK suggests that Moel y Parc might be a possibility, as is Winter Hill. However, you won't receive English programming from it because it's in Wales and carries Welsh regional programming!
The difference between Winter Hill and Moel y Parc is:
Winter Hill:
- BBC One North West
- BBC Two England
- ITV Granada
Moel y Parc:
- BBC One Wales
- BBC Two Wales
- ITV Wales
- S4C
Moel y Parc carries Channel 4 (albeit with South Ads whereas Winter Hill carries North Ads).
Unfortunately, due to the channels used by Moel y Parc and Winter Hill, it won't be possible to combine two aerials into one feed properly (using a diplexer).

adrian: Dave Lindsay thank you very much for clearing that up and so quickly, looks like winter hill it is.
Noticed this afternoon that my freeview box shows a strong signal then roughly 20/30sec later the signal drops completely for a sec then back to strong.
Tried a cheap signal meter on cable from aerial and its only lighting up the first light (50 db) of four lights, wondering if its just an aerial / connection problem now as the 52 element aerial was only fitted a few years ago.
Best wishes
