This website is owned and managed by Brian Butterworth. There has been no sign of his activity on this site for several months now, despite the best efforts of us regular contibutors to make contact with him. So, sadly, the site details are not being updated as only Briantist can do that.
If you want the current, and future, channel allocations for transmitters have a liik at the Digital UK Coverage Checker, at http://www.digitaluk.co.u…er/, and enter an appropriate post code and house number.

Human gave me the tuning numbers for postcode TA9 4HE (Highbridge) as 49; 54; 48; 33; 52, and 58; 36; 35 for hd but I can still only receive ITV West on channel 3 whilst the HD channel 103 gives me ITV Central!!
Is there a fix for this please , as Humax have given up.?

Terry Crimmons: There is no fix, Mendip carries ITV Central HD on 103, there is no version of ITV West HD on Freeview.

As an avid tennis fan, my wife would love to have the full red-button options but cannot because they are only available if the tv set is hd. being pensioners, the cost of purchasing an hd set is prohibitive!! is there a technical reason why it is restricted to hd and is not available to us who only have standard tv's?

Andrew,i think i may have the answer,on the signal strength, the meter shows,Signal strength and signal quality, even though i live in a swamp area, the signal quality goes up and down like a fruit machine,so unless
you 60-70 percent constant, the freezing starts,i try not to get irrated by it,sometimes, switch on/off,and rescan seems to help, hope that helps.Since i have an indoor aerial on top of telly, its easy to move around, but im lucky practially next door to the oxford tx.

hi mmuford
thanks for your response. I know about the 601 [red button] channel. what I was referring to was the bbc 602+ channels that are onlt available if you have HD. I would like to know why the extra channels are only available on HD and not to the majority of us who only have SD sets? but thanks for taking the trouble to respond to my enquiry
