Largs
22/02/2020 For the past week all non-BBC related channels have been almost unwatchable and in most cases no signal at all, yet whenever you check the transmitter it says no problems . I have re-tuned many, many times but no difference. When I run diagnostics and check the tuner it shows all UHF signal channels that have BBC channels on showing as 84% signal strength and 100% signal quality and all other channels on UHF signal channel 25 as less than 1% with the TV displaying no picture or very broken up sound and video and 'poor signal' message. This includes ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4, Channel 5, E4, Film 4 etc - all BBC channels are perfect. My postcode is KA30 8AB in Largs. Currently there are dozens of people complaining on Facebook/Largs people site saying the same thing. Can someone finally admit there is a transmit problem and fix it. Thank you.

Chris Barlow: Your Most Likely Transmitter is Rothesay according to the Coverage Checker.
Is your aerial pointing NW (Rothesay) or E (Largs Holehouse) - pardon the expression.
Largs D3&4 is on C31 and Rothesay D3&4 is on C25.

Stewart Tindal:
I agree with js, in addition to which if your aerial is pointing NW at towards Rothersay, the rods should be vertical. If you are pointing E at Largs, the rods should be horizontal. but although it's much closer to you, it's also very low power and it's not predicted to give quite as good a reception as Rothersay presumably because of the terrain, so it might depend on exactly where you are in your postcode.
However if Largs gets its signal from Rothersay, then if Rothersay is faulty as Stewart Tindal seems to think, it might affect Largs.
Please also note that this is an independent help-site for people with reception and technical problems.
So whichever of the above, I'd suggest you post the information on your Facebook page, for each and everyone of you to phone Freeview on 0808-100-0288 and complain about the signal. It will be no good just one of you phoning, you all need to.

Forgot to ask which UHF channel are you getting your BBC signals on?
Also, | noted you have a mobile phone mast very close to you, do you have a 4G filter fitted?
