Hi. I am currently getting signals from Sandy Heath having moved from the Hertford transmitter to get Freeview. Does this mean that after April 2012 I can go back to the Hertford transmitter? Will it have a limited freeview programme range or the full thing? thanks

Hertfordshaz: There is no need to change transmitters at Sandy Heath switchover, Wednesday 13th April 2011. This transmitter will only have a limited service and not until 2012.

Hi, it seems from reading and looking into the help advice above, that we have Single Frequency Interference on multiplex 2 for about 3 weeks now, making these channels unwatchable. We haven't got any new devices that would interfere with our TV. But we live in flats, one flat above and one below, might their devices interfer with our reception? Kind regards Katy (51.5002,-0.1262)

KatyP: If you share an aerial system with other flats, this is possible. If you suspect it to be the case, I would contact your Management Company and ask them to investigate for you.

KatyP: Thanks Brian, unfortunately the Management Company is me!! So all I can do is get an aerial company in and see what they say? Am concerned they'll rip us all off. My upstairs neighbour says he's recently got a new indoor aerial for his TV, could this be the cause? As if so then we should perhaps get an aerial company in anyway, as he too is having reception issues, causing him to get this new aerial. Our aerial is in our loft space. I know others in the vlock have had new external aerials, or dishes fitted. Any further suggestions? Many thanks Katy (51.5002,-0.1262)

KatyP: I would suggest you also use an external aerial. You don't need a large one, as you are close to a powerful transmitter, but you do need a "line of sight" from the aerial to the top of the Crystal Palace mast.

KatyP: Thanks. Is there any particular type or grade of aerial that would be advisable, or even unnecessary? (51.5002,-0.1262)

KatyP: Just a standard "contract" aerial will be fine, anything else will be overkill. If you want to spend some extra money, buy "satellite grade" coaxial cable to connect the aerial to the equipment.
