Matt:
To be able to suggest possible solutions we would need to know your approximate location, preferably shown by a post code relevant to your home or that of a nearby post office, shop or public building.

Hi, for the past few days several free view channels has been breaking up. Initially this was limited to bbc channels now I cannot get any signal on bbc or itv channels. Others e.g. More4 are fine. Is there a problem with the Bedmond transmitter?
I'm in HP3.
Regards,

John : We need a proper postcode to check what your signal should be. However, check some things.
If your getting some channels, but not others, a damaged wire, etc might be the problem. Swap out your old aerial lead from the TV into the wall, just to check. That might cure it.
If its doesn't, then follow the signal path upwards, and of course check that your tuned to the correct transmitter.

Thanks Mike. All the cables were fine. The same channels were lost on the TV upstairs and low and behold after a while they all came back OK.
Did get some pixelation later on which again seemed confined mainly to the BBC channels.
BTW - the rest of my post code is 8QD.

John Clark: Glad its OK. We all experienced one of those odd weather problems that happen every so often, and I'm glad everything is back to normal.
The reason why I went through that little checklist is thats normally the problem. Weather/ transmitter problems tend to be far less usual than a breakdown at the household end.

I have not been able to receive any freeview hd channels in HP2 for the past few days. It simply says channel is scrambled or unavailable. Any ideas what is wrong? It affects all my freeview hd TVs.

I am no longer able to watch BBC 1 or 2 on channels 1 and 2. I can view BBC 1 HD but it means that I am not able to watch regional news. I have tried changing the channel to another transmitter but it says 'no signal'. Why is this ? And what can I do ?

Steve: Its not really possible for anyone to be in the position of offering advice unless your location is known, this being in the form of a post code or one from somewhere nearby, e.g: such as a shop / post office, although preferably the latter.
