Gentlemen, David: John F: T John:
An Arqiva engineer has been to the transmitter apparently and not found any problem. Freeview have offered for an engineer to call on you tomorrow IF you can get your details to them. Whilst I have passed on your postcodes and the information you've detailed in recent posts, it may not be sufficient for them to track you down.
If you have twitter accounts, please tweet to @FreeviewAdvice mention that I've DM'd them about the Haslemere transmitter and that you need to DM them your address, alternatively phone them on 0808-100-0288 mentioning again that I've DM'd them about the Haslemere transmitter and that your details need to be passed to whoever has responded to me on twitter DM (direct message - which is private). Don't post your personal information on an open tweet!

Chris.SE: Thanks for trying to facilitate something.
I phoned Freeview but had no joy in the 15 minute discussion.
In any case I have got a previously booked Freeview engineer calling on the 10th december so I'll have to be patient until then.
Incidentally, a retune yesterday evening managed to pick up the HD channels again, but less than half strength and quality of 0%. My suspicion remains that its the HD Mux thats at the centre of this.

When you phoned Freeview, had you seen my post and stated that I had DM'd them on Twitter about it?

Chris.SE:
Yup. Spoke to 2 individuals on that number for about 10mins each. Even repeated the message to them verbatim however I didn't get anywhere.
Curiously, this lunchtime all the HDchannels are now back up and working at good strength and very good quality.

Thanks for that feedback John, (and my suspicions were exactly as yours) I will provide some "feedback" to Freeview (which no doubt they aren't going to like!). I'm afraid you aren't the only one that has has some poor responses from that 0808 number, they need a good kick up the ......
But what's more, the BBC have now reported the following for Haslemere (haven't checked since the 27th until now) -
From 1:57pm on 27th Nov 2019 to 11:02am on 28th Nov 2019 BBC B HD Reduced quality due to a fault
So it seems there's more than one part of FreeviewAdvice that doesn't know it's ar*e from its elbow!
Hope the others that were affected provide some feedback.

After having regular problems with my TV reception from the Haslemere Light transmitter I have again lost all HD Channels.
Even many of the SD channels have poor signal quality.
There is something persistent in the problems at this transmitter. Whoever is responsible for it is just not getting to the root cause of the problem.
I will phone Freeview again (sigh!)
