The Hadfield transmitter appears not to be working this morning (Sunday 31st March). Please advise if there are engineering works ongoing, or if there is a power cut affecting the transmitter.
Looking forward to watching 'The Village' tonight !

Brenda: Although I am unaware as to the present situation at the Glossop relay because the TX fault reporting website does not appear to have been updated as yet, but if your TV / box has a "manual" tuning facility could you enter mux Ch28 into the box but do NOT follow this by pressing search or scan, because "if" any signal is there the level / quality of should be indicated, giving an update on the result.

Having previously said that Freeview is completely unwatchable, it seems to only be the case on the BBC channels, so here's a 'hello' to the limited other channels that we can receive in the Glossop area - it's a good job that Come Dine With Me is a guilty pleasure of mine..!
In all seriousness, does anyone know of a decent workaround?
I really miss Film 4 and so many other channels that I once had before moving here...

Brenda: Your best bet with regards Film4 (and other channels) would be to look at getting a Freesat receiver. Your block has a satellite dish on the mast to which the terrestrial aerial is fitted to the top.

Brenda: If you are not that bothered about HD then a Freesat box as simple (and cheap) as this one advertised by Argos would suffice, although there is nothing to stop you looking at their more expensive types should you require a little more sophistication.
