We have freeview and live DE21 area. We had East Midlands news on digital up til about mid autumn then the tv went blank, we auto-retuned and we can now only get West Midlands. It's really annoying, I want to know what's going on and what the weather will be in Derby, not Birmingham! What can we do about it?

Em: Check the channel list for another BBC1. This will probably be in the 800s. The reason you have West Midlands tuned in is simply due to the Sutton Coldfield signal on C43 is found first in the scan and the channels stored in the normal positions in the channel list. East Midlands muxes are then found, C48 from the Derby relay in Littleover is a possibility, then Waltham on C61. Usually the channels from one of these transmitters will then be stored as a variation. The direction that your aerial is pointing in should determine which is the better of the two options. Do a factory reset to clear the channel list, then store the frequencies manually for your chosen transmitter to get the correct channels in the channel list.

I live at DE23 1DB. The Derby transmitter is nearby - but not quite visible due to houses in line of sight. I find I am getting BBC1 on Channel 48, ITV on 46, ITV3 on 29 (high signal level)
My aerial is pointing (approx) at Waltham. I suspect I am getting some channels from Derby. Should I tuen the aerial to point to Derby to get a better signal as 48 loses the sound.
