Only getting 10 channels (c28 bundle). I'm located in Carlisle CA2 7DD. Is this because of the high winds and rain?

There is no TV reception in Keswick since yesterday.
i presume this is due to storm Desmond but there has been no explanation as to why or when it is likely to be repaired, is it the transmitter at caldbeck?
is there any indication as to when transmissions will be restored?

thank you

BARRY: Keswick is a relay fed via the Bassenthwaite site, which has no mains electricity supply. The site is currently inaccessible due to flooding. The mains supply, and hence the service from Bassenthwaite, Keswick and Threlkeld, will be restored as soon as possible

Anthony Martin:

Without a full post code we could not identify which transmitter you might be using. However, many of the transmitters, or have been, are without power so were not radiating TV signals. With a postcode would find out if that is relevant to you.

I live in Bridekirk near Cockermouth. My aerial is pointed towards the Caldbeck transmitter.

At present, BBC News HD on channel 107 breaks up a lot and gives frequent 'no signal' messages.

When will channel 107 be broadcast in full power from Caldbeck on C30 like channels 101 - 105, or must I either continue to obtain it only on channel 130 in lower definition or use my Humax Freesat HD box which gets an excellent signal?

Which company runs Channel 3 in Caldbeck area as according to this page itv plc stopped in Dec 2014?
Also during the Olympics we have had Red button channels 0-7 plus "Red Button 1 24/7" from Caldbeck.
Now if the single frequency network is a success could OfCom move all national multipexes to single frequency and then introduce more multiplexes and more channels?

Will: ITV plc (or its subsidiaries in Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands) run the channel 3 service in all areas except for central and northern Scotland, which is run by STV. In theory the COM multiplexes should work well as single frequency networks, but there is no chance of Ofcom introducing any further new multiplexes in the future when they are keen to sell off spectrum for mobile broadband. COM7 and COM8 are temporary and will close in 2020 when the 700MHz frequency band is handed over to the mobile networks, following the currently delayed spectrum auction.
