My mother-in-law appears to have lost the channels now on C60.
She always had problems with ITV1 on C59 but now it has moved further away from the C57 group which works fine. I suspect a band-pass filter in the communal (flats) distribution mechanism. However, the building supervisor (the builder) is probably not man enough for the task.

Where can we turn for help?

Steve Swift: Are other folk in the flats having the same problem? If there are channel filters, everyone will be affected.

JimF: I don't really know about the other residents; there are 6 flats on the system, so 5 other tenants, but I'm only on nodding aquaintance, and M-i-L hardly ever goes out her front door.
The system includes dual satellite feeds to each flat, so the others may just use the satellite feed. Unfortunately, M-i-L is too old to learn even something as simple as a Satellite set-top box.
The TV man who visited confirmed that the antenna is on Crystal Palace, so we're holding fire until that completes digital migration.

Steve Swift: Crystal Palace is almost 70km away, but could be where the aerial is pointing.
CP has nothing on UHF ch60 though - ITV is on ch22 before DSO.
Even if the aerial is on CP, it might still pick up the Alton relay (where ITV is on ch60).
I'm guessing you'll have tried a retune (after factory reset / default settings), which wouldn't typically give ITV from the Alton relay if a better signal is coming from CP, but perhaps the close proximity of the Alton relay (under 1km) is a factor.

I had assumed that since M-i-L lives in Alton that her TV would pick up the Alton Relay. However, the antenna is on CP, so the TV ended up with an assortment of channels, mostly from CP, but others from the Alton Relay and even some from Hannington.
I'd tried to add ITV1 on C60 thinking I'd get it from the Relay, but the TV found nothing on C60 at all.

Steve Swift: The Digital UK postcode checker predicts that Crystal Palace offers the best signal, both now and after switchover on 4th/18th April 2012. If you require reception of the Alton relay for the alternative local news it would require a group c/d aerial set for vertical polarisation linked to the CP aerial via a diplexer in order to receive all the available muxes.(Alton is a Freeview Light, PSB only transmitter.) It is very hit and miss using a CP aerial for reception of transmitters in different directions to CP, especially if they are vertically polarised.

There is no signal for TV. When will it come back on? The only information is for reasons of engineering works it will be off from 11.09am today and there is no data for when it will be back on.
