Redruth (Cornwall, England) DAB transmitter

Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Redruth (Cornwall, England) mast?
UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

I'm in Falmouth and having exactly the same problems; perfectly good DAB reception for 5+ yrs but in the past few weeks its become unlistenable. I hope they Fi d the root cause soon!

Hi, the problem isn't only Falmouth area, the dab signal comes & goes in & around Camborne & Truro now in my car when in never used to. I don't think I can collect any data for you as I don't have dab radio in my house it's only in my car but if I'm driving at the right times I'll try to record it! Do you want records of any station eg would Capitol fm dab be any good or are you only collecting data on BBC stations?

Hi Pete, yep it was fine this AM but unusable last night at 5pm. I rang the BBC again and they said the issue was not resolved. They said last week engineers were on it(!).
They have now made it a "Priority". I have got a new Case number.
Their number 03700 100 123, if you want to complain :)

Simon Van Hear: This is good - that there is acknowledgement of a fault as it is the first step to rectification.
