Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Redruth (Cornwall, England) mast?

No problems on any service. BBC

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Hello, I live in South East Cornwall and am currently unable to receive any BBC DAB radio stations. Is there a transmitter problem?

I live in Penryn, Cornwall. My DAB signal has deteriorated in the past month. Today as it was on Saturday I have ABSOLUTELY NO digital reception. I've had a digital radio for 3 years with no such problems. Is this the best place to register this concern, is there a phone number for the Redruth Transmitter Station?

I have am also experiencing disruption to digital radio reception in Penryn, Cornwall, on both of my digital radios. All stations are breaking up every few seconds, or disappearing altogether. Reception on these radios has always been perfect, until the beginning of June. If the transmitter is not at fault, does anyone have any ideas? Any suggestions gratefully received.

I live in Mullion Cornwall, our BBC 1,2,3,4 TV channel reception is poor but ITV channels etc are OK.
Any obvious reason why.

David Welsh: Have you confirmed that your TV is receiving BBC services from Redruth by checking the signal strength screen? It should say that it is tuned to UHF channel 44 (658MHz). It could, perhaps, have defaulted to Caradon Hill on C28 (530MHz). If so, then run the tuning scan with the aerial unplugged for the first 30%, or until it gets to UHF channel 30.

David Welsh: I live in Derby near to the edge of the area covered by the Waltham transmitter. The reception is fine for all of the channels apart from those from the BBC. These all experience some degree of pixelation, sometimes so significant that the picture breaks up completely. This happens on a random basis - sometimes within only a few minutes of starting to view the channel and on other occasions after about 30 to 40 minutes. After retuning (using "Full Scan - Replace Existing Services")the problem can disappear for a few minutes but always comes back eventually, sometimes within few minutes.

Just had call from nice man at BBC. I reported the DAB problems in Falmouth, and he confirms they have received several complaints. Two engineers were sent out, but have found nothing so far. Investigations are continuing. It is nothing to do with the Penryn transmitter which only does Freeview, so still a mystery.
