Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Heathfield (East Sussex, England) mast?

Heathfield transmitter - Heathfield transmitter: Possible effect on TV reception week commencing 11/11/2024 Pixelation or flickering on some or all channels Digital tick

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Hi, we watch on You View, via our Sony Bravia tv. Last couple of days we are suffering pixelation and freezing on all commercial channels ie ITV, Ch4 etc. BBC reception is fine. What could be causing this please. What can be causing this please. I think our transmitter is at Heathfield. Our post code is BN86QP
Thanks

Geoffrey Draper : Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables and connections behind your TV? What signal strength and quality readings do you get for BBC channels and what do you get for ITV/Channel 4?

Dave Duke: The SDL multiplex which carries TalkSport 2 has recently been expanded to provide coverage from 19 new transmitters (see link below). There have been no plans announced for any further expansion of coverage at this time.

James Bolon:

You've posted on the DAB transmitter page rather than Freeview, but not to worry.
The Sony Channel is carried on a Local multiplex and there is no Local multiplex transmitted from the Heathfield transmitter.
See Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are on which multiplex.

As you haven't given a full postcode, I can't advise which transmitter(s) you might be able to receive which may/may not have a Local Multiplex, or which way the aerial should be pointing for best reception.

Karen:

It is most likely to be current weather conditions as I can't find any fault reports at present and "Tropospheric Ducting" which can cause interfering signals from distant transmitters in Europe or the UK to be more readily received. This is predicted to be quite variable over the next few days, and seems to be currently affecting the East and South-East.
Both Freeview and the BBC have current warnings about short term interference to reception.
Do NOT retune your TV.
