James Egan: Your 26km from the transmitter, so pretty close. HD tends to break up with too much signal.

Whats happened to channel 108 ALJEZEERA NEWS PLEASE.
CHANNEL 108 IS NO LONGER ON MY TV AND CANNOT SEEM TO FIND WHERE IT HAS gone.
ALSO WHY DO WE GET NOTIFICATION WHILST WATCHING OUR PROGRAMMES ASKING US TO CLICK ON A NUMBER OR WE WILL LOSE WHAT WE ARE WATCHING|??
We use Redruth station is this the problem?

dee russell: Same problem along the south coast. Al Jazeera is only on channel 108 now but that's not available from Portsmouth to Brighton due to the Rowridge transmitter on Com 7 and C37 only having a power output of 24.4Kw. Lots of angry viewers giving digital UK grief. http://help.digitaluk.co.…8028

looking at the data for your Redruth transmiter it looks as though the transmitter people are not going to transmit channel 108 on that transmitter see:
The Redruth (Cornwall, England) mast is not one of the extended Freeview HD (COM7 and COM8) transmitters, it does not provide these high definition (HD) channels: 4seven HD, Al Jazeera Arabic, Al Jazeera Eng HD, BBC Four HD, BBC News HD, CBeebies HD, CBS Reality +1, Channel 4+1 HD, Community Channel, Motors TV, mov4men+1, TalkingPictures TV, VIVA.
If you want to watch these HD channels, either use Freesat HD, or move your TV aerial must point to one of the 30 Full Freeview HD transmitters. For more information see the want to know which transmitters will carry extra Freeview HD? page.
