UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Are the Campbeltown transmitters muddled up?
I would find it hard to believe Argyll FM have 2 transmitters so close to one another. And the BBC FM services are missing?

pgw: No not muddled up.Terrain is a very big problem for this local independent radio station with Ofcom restricted power output /erp.To link to the main transmitter at S.Knapdale it requires a link from the studio in Campbeltown to this foresaid transmitter[in east Kintyre] then linked to Ballygroggan [ in west Kintyre-about 6 miles away] which then links/feeds the well sited S. Knapdale transmitter.[S. Knapdale is used by the BBC[at much higher power output/erp] to cover the listening area ,etc]

pgw: The Argyll FM transmitters are shown correctly, however the link to the original Campbeltown TV transmitter site, which currently houses transmitters for Freeview TV and BBC national FM services, is missing from the "FM, MW and LW transmitters in Argyll and Bute" page. There is a link to the BBC FM service page from the Campbeltown (Argyll and Bute, Scotland) Freeview Light transmitter page.

Hi, yes I see. I didn't, in all the time I lived in Argyll, realise the Argyll FM transmitters on the Kintyre were so close together.
I think the lack of the BBC services listed confused me there!
