High pressure causing channel loss through "Inversion" | FreeviMonday 26 March 2012 12:42AM
Rochester
Every evening for the past couple of weeks we've not had any ITV channels, CH4 or 5 on digital - analogue OK. Signal strength checked and all OK. Comes back some time during the morning and usually stays till early evening (times when I don't normally watch TV), then off-air it goes again when anything decent is on. Am really fed up with missing programmes, having to record and re-record repeats, etc. Digital TV is supposed to be an improvement - never had so many problems. Is there anything I can do to get these channels again on a regular basis or am I now doomed to only watching BBC once the switchover to digital commences?

High pressure causing channel loss through "Inversion" | FreeviTuesday 27 March 2012 12:58PM

I live in Medway and still losing all ITV channels, CH4 & CH 5 every evening - nothing, just a blank screem. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now - going off every evening between 7.00 and 8.00 p.m. and doesn't come back until the next day. If this is down to high pressure, does this mean we can no longer watch any channels except BBC all through the summer? Analogue is working fine - thought digital was supposed to be a step forward.

Sometimes we lose all ITV channels, CH4, CH5, etc on digital for days at a time. Still can watch on analogue, but getting worried as after switchover we won't be able to view that way and will end up missing episodes of programmes. I believe it is down to inversion. Will the situation improve after switchover or will we always be without channels? Had the signal checked and we have a strong signal strength.
