Below are all of FoxT2's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.David: "Are there transmitter problems at Emley Moor today?"
Analogue or digital? I've just checked all the Freeview muxes and they're looking okay. I usually get around 75-85% signal strength.

Do you mean your TV is analogue only or do you think your aerial won't be suitable? Does your TV work at the moment? DSO doesn't start until Wednesday.

@David : That explains it, the new muxes I've picked up are from Belmont (since the DSO of the 17th of August?).

Hopefully the problem should sort itself out on the 21st (assuming Emley Moor gets the promised signal boost?)... fingers crossed!
I think there's going to be a lot of confused people this evening - my Dad has already phoned me to ask what he's supposed to do.

Peter Leadill: "You will then need to select Manual Search from the Installation Menu or Tuning Menu and then enter and save each of the multiplexes that you require in Yorkshire (list as my earlier comment). "
And it's great fun trying to explain what a mux is over the phone to someone who's only bothered about not missing this morning's Homes Under The Hammer. :)

Just wondering, could we not have a frequency list for...

...added to the information at the top of the page? (just for people like me that get confused easily)

I did a manual scan first thing this morning, all muxes are now around 95% via the external aerial and around 80% via an internal one. Well impressed.

I'm a bit confused. My Freeview PVR is reporting a signal strength of around 90% (it was 80% pre-DSO) which I thought was a good thing but that url says that anything about 75% is an overload?
Signal quality was and still is 100% and I've never had any reception issues but should I install an attenuator or even consider replacing my aerial with a cheaper/smaller one?

I'm still having reception problems even though there's no mention of transmitter issues today. HD is still unwatchable (automatic scan doesn't pick them up at all, manual scan reckons they're on less than 40%). And I'm LOS with Emley Moor!
