However, that's still an interesting story of yours.

Hi Brian, I'm a bit confused. You said elsewhere that you'd amended the database for Mendip, but ArqA is still showing as C52 here and ArqB as C56 when they should be the other way around ie. ArqA is on C56 & ArqB is on C52.

David Rowe: Follow the Freeview reset procedure with the link at the bottom of the page, then do a manual scan, one multiplex ata time using the following UHF channel numbers -
CH61,CH54,CH48,CH52 & CH56 . If you have HD then also C58.

Without your postcode it's impossible to even start with any advice. You could be tuned to the wrong transmitter, you may have an aerial or cable problem. Don't know if you have an aerial amplifier, how many sockets does it feed? Is the problems the same on all TV's or from all the sockets? etc etc.

Do you have an aerial amplifier at all?
If work on the O2 mast has meant adding 4g in the 800MHz band (haven't checked) then there may be some overload happening, you might need a filter. However I'd had expected other mux channels to be knocked out as well.
Are you talking about the HD channels or the SD ones?

Your Scart lead carries a DC signal on Pin8. When you switch on the Freeview Recorder the signal appears.
If the TV set is not on, when the TV sees this signal it will switch on, at the input your Recorder is connected.
If your TV is already on, and you are watching another channel/input, you may have noticed when you switch the Recorder on, the TV automatically switches to that input for the Recorder.

Briantist:
I can confirm that ArqB is on C52 and ArqA is on C56 at Mendip whatever Ofcom's document says!
I did point this out to you back in April on the Full Mendip page but I think you must have missed my post.
I did repeat the information a couple of times for a number of confused posters.
Funnily enough, I was about to post about this on the feedback page but happened to read this first.
Regards.
