Adam Ali,you won't get HD channels if your aerial is pointing to Sutton Coldfield as the HD channels are on the Lichfield transmitter, something your aerial people should know and possible move your aerial to pick up both transmitters. It depends on your location in Walsall as to the angle you are at compared to the two transmitters.I live not far from the NEC south of both these transmitters and the angle of difference between both is 23 degrees which means if I move my aerial to try to get Lichfield I lose the good quality signal from Sutton where all the Freeview channels come from.This will be resolved come Sept 2011 when the switchover happens as the HD signals will move from Licfield to Sutton.Hope this is of help.

Thanks for the Transmitter info, that has answered ny question as to why I have lost ITV1 and numerous other channels completely and BBC1 & 2 are so pixelated its impossible to watch I am at B37 6BT approx 6/7 miles from Sutton and usaualy have excellent reception.

Re the Sutton switchover in Sept, when this happens will the Audio volume improve.I have Sky+ on the lounge TV as well as Freeview HD and the sound volume on freeview is poor in comparison to Sky I have to increase the volume by approx 10points on freeview to get the same volume as sky. The signal quality on freeview is excellent a max of 10.

Sorry I have my thick head on this morning its the settings for the "Digibox" not the HD box, all is well now.

Sutton Coldfield wont be transmitting HD untill Sept this year when the switch over takes place, at the moment the HD signals are coming from the Lichfield transmitter and will do so untill Sept when they will move to Sutton.
