We got a call from a customer a few weeks ago when I went to the house it was a 3 story flat the roof was a real terror climb
at least 40 foot high covered in moss with a concrete yard below you get the picture. the only way to get to were the aerial was mounted was a 2 tear climb and a bum skid along the top of the roof'' I quoted £95 for the job . they said they had a cheaper quote so I left a few days latter I was passing the house and had look up at roof I just could not believe my eyes someone had fitted a B&Q special on a loft aerial bracket right at the top of the apex into the wood fascia board with white cable hanging down the roof and in through the window a real DIY job the length some people will go to save a few quid .if you look at the price of the aerials from the sheds they must have paid at least £30 for it and the price of the cabling and bracket they saved about £30 not worth risking your life for . over the last few days we have had some heavy winds around here and guess what we went pass the other day and it was hanging of the roof;

The problem is I don't know much about transmitters from other areas that I don't use, like asking me about Mendips or crystal palace or something, run of the mill TV sky and aerial faults I'm your man,maybe send questions from around my area to me or other riggers in our area, probably Brian would not like that as he is trying to lighten his work load a bit it would mean more up dating for him to do.

Hi Ian
I think the CAI card is like that.
dont like to say to much about the CIA as you always get some flak from some one in the trade who thinks they are the b all and end all of the trade .just dont like the way they do
business done some contract work for a few big firms here 20,mil insurance health and safety gone mad 3 months before you get money of them holding back 5% of your money stuff that I would sooner work for percy public any time OAPs heare are not daft and its always me that seems to get doneover I think Im to soft' Tom Fletcher Alpha Aerials Sheffield.
