As a note - shortly after posting my problem on here, I tried switching my Hummy of, unplugging the arial, switch on, re-tuned to get it blanked, plugged in the aerial and then re-scanned... guess what... I got all the channels I was faffing about but no BBC channels! What a laugh! Later in the evening after 9pm, I did another automatic re-tune and hey presto, everything was back again! Could it be a problem that DigitalUK is messing with the frequencies and subsequently confusing my Humax? Could they also be working on the transmitters? Freeview would be great if these thing didn't keep happening. It might just drive me to fork out a few bob for cable or satellite, though we wouldn't watch half of it - what a shame to have to pay for something you can get for free?

I've been having reception problems for the last month or so now. Also made a post on here about a week or two ago. I received a message on my Humax 9200 PVR on 14 Sept - "If you find you are missing channels please re-tune your Freeview TV or Box. A full channell search should be performed due to network change. Scheduled recordings may disappearand FavouriteList will be reset. This message may show again in the future." I've done a factory default reset, re-tuned the Hummy. Got ALL channels, but all the Mux2 channels (ITV, Ch4, E4, Channel5 etc) had no or bad signal, dispite the EPG loading for them. Since then I've done a manual tuning (as jd38 suggested) on selected channels and got the Mux 2 channels back again - and working this time. Suppose it's the fact that the Hummy can't handle the 2k and 8k signals at the same time (as suggested by Briantist in a previous post)?

I take it you've tried the steps at the top of this page? You might want to do a manual re-tune after doing an auto-scan to get the missing channels.

I've had a similar problem to Darren from Peterborough and Jenny from Newcastle-upon-Thames. My post code is KT1 2TE. I also have a Humax PVR-9200T which has served me well over the last two years. About a week ago I noticed the reception to be quite sketchy so I did a re-tune. What a mistake! I only get the BBC channels, no Only some of the ITV's, no Channel 4 and no 5. I've done a Reset to factory default and even did the manual switch-off-unplug-retune-plug-in-retune... still the same issue. My outdoor aerial hasn't moved in the last year and a half. Is there any reasonable explanation for this?
