further to my post, I suspected it may be a case of the signal being too strong, so I picked up a variable attenuator today and that has sorted out all my problems.

Hi - I seem to have the same issue as JLK (and I'm in SW15 too), John and Gezza.
I have a Humax HDR FOX T2, and a Panasonic Plasma with Freeview. My aerial feeds into the humax, and I then run both a HDMI connection to my TV, and also a regular aerial via aerial-out on the humax. I do this to use an AV sender (and watch different channels) with a kitchen TV.
I only have the problems when viewing through the HDMI connection. If I use the built-in TV freeview it's all fine -but that has not been retuned in a while.
I've tried the various resets / rescans and still no luck.
Anyone got ay ideas?
