Wish they'd develop cloud back-up of recordings. Especially with Humax software having any role in Freesat boxes. Ten years of recurrent total failures of their wretched non-robust file systems have wiped hundreds of hours of our recordings on numerous generations of their (otherwise rather fine) TV recorders.
Now regularly archive to DVD or clone drives in the knowledge that with Humax, it's WHEN they will crash, not IF.

This transcript is worse than something put through Google Translator four times back & forth between languages!
Tried Google's superb new 'Recorder' app? Infinitely better, a boon for journos or anyone who needs a text record of a conversation or broadcast .
If you haven't got a Pixel phone, it can now be run on most handsets running Android 9 &10.

It's reasonable to expect people's main TV and/or set top box to be replaced after a period - though we have 2010 gear that is still as good as day one. Scrapping it to enable ever more mobiles to stream tripe in 4k 5g is a waste.
Furthermore, many of us have irreplaceable SD boxes - ones that have features or usability you struggle to find today at any price. Some early-ish SD boxes make brilliant radio recorders, with live buffering / chase play, EPG to series record, great UI and playback control. Just the stuff 21st century radios should have built-in, but it looks like is never coming.
