I see that from April 2014 there will be another 3 MUXES on C31, C37 & C57
Will C37 be QAM256 or QAM64?
Recently the QAM256 MUX had 2 channels added obviously reducing the bit rates from an avg of 10Mb/s to 8Mb/s per channel.sigh
It was bad enough with QAM16 MUXES (18Mb/s) and like 10 channels before the DSO
Instead of padding out the MUXES with dam+1 channels why do they not up the data rates?
Why do they not use QAM256 on every MUX?
Surely mpeg TS can be transmitted on QAM256?
This whole DSO has been a farce IMO.
A friend of mine had to upgrade his aerial, upgrade his set top box & TV and now has to invest in one of those things to cut interference.
Typical corporate incompetence to fleece people for money, as long as the 4G operators get there chunk of the band with who cares, let the public pay out over an over.
Oh and it will not be long till 4K comes, another fortune to shell out!
