Dear Sir, a few years ago there was an amateur tv transmitter located at this site and as far as I am aware the antennas are are still located on the mast. I have no idea why the amateur service which was as far as I know closed down possibly because of financial reasons as most are supported by the radio industry on a pepper corn rent basis ie almost free. Here in Staffordshire the amateur tv transmitter is GB3UD and is supported by the industry it now offers teletext, nicamdigital sound, has a full HD caperbility and more recenly 3D has been sucessfully reradiated. The evelution of television can and still be carried out by indiviuals to avery high standard I wondered what the site owners policy is towards revitalising this key amateur tv transmitter given that its not a tony hancock image which seems to avail its self readily when we are as advanced as the big boys but on a smaller scale
