Below are all of Mark's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page. Thanks for your reply Briantist. Tried turning everything off but hasn't worked. The TV with the freeview box only has that box attached. Is it possible that the problem could be caused by neighbour's devices?

Hi Briantist,
I've tried this with no success. The problem is apparent on two separate systems, with one losing channels altogether. As far as I can deduce, there is a degradation in the signal (that appears to coincide with school term time(?)). I can't identify anything in the house that could be causing this.

Hi Briantist,
There's a 3 storey building to one side (we're a 2 storey detached) and a few tall lime trees next to that, grouped together. I had wondered about the 3 storey building as it is closed, but I wasn't sure that would explain the intermittent natre of the problem, or the large and definite discrepancy i.e. it's 30% or 90%ish strength

Hi, Any advice on this problem. Live in B'ham 13 and having problems with channel 44 (ITV1, C4 etc). Our freebox indicates signal strength varies from around 30% to 90% and when it's low, it can't find the channels. Our TV with built in Freeview has occasional picture break up on these channels. I rescan the box occasionally to see if it's working; it's fine today, but hasn't been since about 12th Jan. It was fine on Boxing day, but hadn't been working since around Aug/Sept. Have noticed that there appears to be a correlation between the weak signal and school holidays, so next week will be interesting. Read all the guides and can't see anything. Any ideas?
