Well, on a Sig Strength meter ( the cheap one with 4 green LEDS) , I get 2 Green light on the roof with a 1mtr fly lead direct into the aerial which is about midway (60uV) I remember from the old Analogue days I used to look for 1mV :). If I plug just the inner core into the TV socket, I get ITV MUX Ok but BBC 1MUX is obviously blocky. I also have a variable attenuator and have tried that on the main TV input and it makes not difference to the BBC1 MUX... I thought at first it was the High Pressure weather ( I am a radio Amateur ) and I know that with some weather patterns you get what we called lifts so you can contact countries on 2mts frequency when normally you can't...As the neighbours are also getting the same problem and the weather has change a lot since early March I am not sure what to try next. I am not sure if a dedicated Group B would solve it but as it has always been fine I dont see why the aerial I have now should not be OK.. It is trying to find out what has change wit transmission......

Hello, since early March, myself and neighbours are now getting some from of interference on all 5 programs on the Multiplex where the BBC1 is, from Hannington ( Hannington is the only Transmitter we can see from this particular location )
The Multiplex of 5 channel where ITV is, there are no problems
The Multiplex where SKY News is has the same problems of interference, so it seem to be OK on some and not others. I changed the Aerial to one of the Same ( Wideband Fringe Reception Labgear ) as I thought the old aerial may of got rain ingress. The down lead was new 3 years ago and is a foam filled type.
This happens when the aerial is plugged directly into the back of the Samsung HD TV. I have tried other TVs and the results are the same. I even place a temporary aerial about 15 feet away and use another down lead but it made no difference. ( and yes the TV it has been retuned )
Since the complete change over to Digital I have received perfect Freeview with Strength indications of GOOD and on strength of 96% and Quality of 85%. Even now I get the same reading but get the intermittent sound and blocky picture... It is not a 4G problem as I have tried a filter. Clearly something has changed to a transmission somewhere and the only other nearest station is Guildford which is on a lower power and V polarised.
The only thing I can see is that DAB has come on full power from Hannington but it is a much different frequency and would not of thought it would offer co-channel..
Any guidance would be appreciated... Thanks
