Below are all of Betamax_man's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Have stopped the interference every three hours. I found some lead in the garage and have encased the solar panel meter with it. Just waiting for them to ring me to say there is a fault and they cannot get any readings. I know it is a bit drastic, but I have contacted them several times about it, only to be told a senior electrician will call me, but they never do.

Why are we still getting the re-tune banner, when as far as I know, from this TX it is unnecessary. It is very annoying.

Could it be for the relays? (YO422QG)

More stations switching to mono and lowering bit rates. When will this ever end. The Government wants us to switch to digital so they can sell off the analogue space, but in my opinion, are going the wrong way about it. If they want to increase the uptake of digital radio, the quality needs to also increase. I won't be listening to Planet Rock in the car any more, but will tune to Real XS instead. That is until that becomes mono as well.
R.I.P. stereo DAB radio !

KMJ, Derby: I think the problem is greed. OFCOM for the over priced licencing, the big corporations to satisfy the share holders and big bonuses for the board.
Why do record producers produce music in stereo only to be reproduced in mono.
I agree some people do have there speakers too close together so as not to get good stereo separation and a lot of listening is on single speaker radios, but that doesn't help those of us who like to listen in stereo.

Real XS closing on dab at the end of the month. Now no choice for classic rock in stereo. No doubt more of the same "capital" dross to take it's place. I think there now needs to be a law, as there is in the Netherlands which bans simulcasting, to give minority interests a chance. I now see no advantage of dab.
At least at home there's internet radio.

I have read Global Radio's excuse for closing MXR and can't understand their logic. How can releasing a regional mux free up space for local muxes. If a mux is on say 10C a nabouring mux cannot be on the same channel with different content.

My daughter is living in Stoke on Trent and cannot access the Trentham TX because the hill so has to use The Wrekin TX. All muxes work apart from COM4 & COM5. The aerial is a log periodic and is in the loft. Other than installing an outdoor aerial, is there a way to improve things?

Thanks Dave. I did mean Fenton is impossible at my daughter's location. All the aerials in her location face The Wrekin apart from the odd one or two that face Sutton Coldfield. It's strange it is only COM4 & COM5 that are affected and not COM6 as well.

jb38 thanks for your reply. The aerial is a relatively new 18 element Yagi group B model through a group B filter feeding the distribution amp with CT100 cable. Also connected to the amp is a 3 element DAB yagi facing the Waltham TX. Have tried connecting the main TV directly to the aerial feed and this does not help. On the TV, the signal remains at 100% but the quality drops to around 20%
