We have bought a house in Holme Next The Sea and wonder in which direction we should place our free view Ariel . Most that can be seen seem to point towards what I understand is the Belmont transmitter , yet there are smaller transmitters at Lynn and Burnham . Wouldn't these be more appropriate for receiving news etc for Norfolk?

Thank you very much both of you for your advice , it all becomes clear now except when the picture pixallates.
Another question , is it worth getting a signal booster if I went down the Freeview/Belmont route to prevent picture break up?

Thanks for your help.

I have discovered a satellite dish tucked away on the side of the house , which explains the wires in the living room , honestly I just had not noticed it ! Would I be able to pick up freesat on this and what do you need to get it , I presume some box would be required like a digibox . Is a Sky dish the same or do you need a different dish for Freesat ? Would a Sky dish and a Freesat dish be aligned the same?

Thanks for any help

I'm in Holme Next the sea on the main road , is it possible to get reception from the Burrnham transmitter by simply pointing an Ariel in the right direction and connecting the cable to the TV . It seems the signal should be strong enough having looked at the green signal strength map. Also is there a specific type of Ariel required or will a normal " high gain" one suffice?

Thanks , I'm not a thick as it seems , after I posted the enquiry I looked up a and saw I had asked the same things a few months ago , just a bad memory ! I'm blaming it on the fact that it was summer and TV wasn't at the forefront of things at the time.

I will research my previous questions prior to posting next time!
