Below are all of Mark Agius's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.As BBC 3 has been off-air for a few years, I sure the viewing figers are now lower than before it was taken off air as most people are now used to watching other channels.
Now they want to take CBBC and BBC4 off air.
Perhaps it would have been better to keep BBC3 off-air as it has lost its viewers and keep CBBC, BBC4 and BBC News/BBC World on-air?

I see that the South East is the last part of England to switch. Just like the last part of England to switch from analogue or get Channel 5 in 2012. HD starts on 22/02/2023

Page only mentions Freesat and Sky. Does not say when or if BBC One local areas starts on Freeview!

One big problem with kids TV on ITV is that CITV is not on the public multiplex, so some Freeview viewers can't watch it.
With the BBC talking about closing CBBC or CBeebies, kids TV looks bleak for Freeview viewers.

It's not true.
The pink (not red) caption is not retiring. It's moving from BBC 1 HD to BBC 1 SD.
When it has moved to BBC1 SD it may say something different.
On FreeSat and Sky, is says you can't watch local programs on the standard definition channel.

So United Kingdom has been abbreviated to UK.
Television has been abbreviated to TV.
Now UKTV has been abbreviated to U.
Get rid of the U and there will be nothing left.
Saves on the ink.
