TV aerial in loft with with a splitter with cables directly to each tv in each room. Yesterday afternoon, suddenly no signal!

Yes, thank you for that. We have a loft aerial with a splitter with cables directly to each room with a tv. Suddenly yesterday, all tv's are showing 'no signal'. Nothing has changed with our physical equipment????

Thanks jb38, it's not a powered splitter and the 'brown' cable from the splitter looks fine! It was only installed 6 weeks ago by a professional aerial guy I've used for 8 years now. It's been fine all this time,then suddenly yesterday afternoon, no signal on everyone's tv. I'll probably find out locally tomorrow, that there was a problem in the area LOL

Thank you jb, you are absolutely right! By process of elimination and by sheer frustration at not being able to watch the new series of Topgear and the snooker final tonight, my son went up to the roof after I gave him your last advice, and plugged the tv directly into the aerial and got a picture! He then proceeded to grin widely and sat there on the rafters to watch his programmes. However, this does not solve the problem for the rest of us, unless we join him. Also hubbie can't record, on the BT Vision box, HIS programmes :( This concludes we need a new splitter, yes?

My Aerial man came out and reclipped and checked the splitter in the loft connection. Got everything working again but we are still getting a lot of wireless connection blipping in the evenings only. The aerial man suggested a better signal erecting the aerial up on the roof as opposed to in the loft, and also when I checked signal strengths on the BT Vision box, all channels average 57%.
We have a signal booster on the aerial connection furthest away from the router/aerial but all tv's are blipping......

We have had no tv signal for over an hour, directly on tv aerial, or on BT Vision box, how can we determine if there is a problem in the whole area????
