UKTV is another avenue of income from the predominant supplier of content, the BBC.
They're playing games and yiu going along with it is making you complicit.

Com 8 closed down to make more room for increased mobile phone coverage.
The frequency space that comm 8, or whatever, was using got auctioned off to the big Mobile phone service providers. It had absolutely nothing to do with the pandemic.
The other channels cant tell the BBC what they can do and can't do.
It's not the EU you know.

Pandemics make no difference to television broadcasting equipment.
This is work that would be happening anyway to make room for more frequency usage for the 5G and mobile networks as that's were the perceived future lays.
Other media companies cannot tell others media companies what kind of advertising or business model that they can and cannot use. How misguided are you planning on getting?

Like I have said, Heard it all before. The BBC will be getting their immoral tax money from the public until the end of the world or the switch off of broadcast signals, whichever comes sooner.
Politicians and others debating and having committees are worse than useless.
